Our Journey

The passion for construction began early in my childhood. When I was young, I would spend much of my time outside with my Tonka Toy construction equipment.  On days when I couldn’t play outside, I would draw designs of what I wanted to create and build.

Once I had a design, I would begin moving the dirt with my Tonka bulldozer and hauling it with my dump truck. I carefully sculpted the dirt to create my mini community; I would use small tree branches and scrap wood to build bridges and other structures under the canopy of my parents’ shrubs. When I was 16 years old, I began to work for others in the construction industry. I give credit to my dad and his passion for construction, as he worked his entire career as a heavy equipment operator. Thanks to his connections, I worked for various subcontractors during the summer on construction sites. Returning to Passion

I graduated with an Engineering degree and worked a few years as a machine design engineer but soon realized that I had never really outgrown my Tonka Toys and playing in the dirt. After spending much time in prayer and reading John Ortberg’s book “If You Want to Walk on Water, You Have to Get Out of the Boat” and spending much time in prayer, I gained the peace needed to make the decision to leave the engineering field and return to my passion for construction.
